Dan: Could you tell me about your Passion.io journey.
Allie: I'd had the idea for an app for about half a year and I couldn't stop thinking about it. Creating a mobile fitness app was something that I wanted to do.
I had done some light research to see what would be involved in creating an app and I was totally overwhelmed with the cost and commitment. I'd pretty much given up on the idea, then I saw your advert.
When I came across the webinar I was absolutely thrilled. I almost felt like it was too good to be true. I remember talking to my mum and my partner about it and being so excited. I took the EUC very seriously, I booked out time to watch it and really worked on completing it as best I could.
The whole course really resonated with me and I thought 'oh my gosh, this is what I want to do'. I will be honest there was a part of me that was a little apprehensive. But I took a leap of faith and I'm really glad that I did because I couldn't have been more happy with the results.
Dan: Can you share a little bit about the results you got whilst going through this process?
Allie: Yeah sure, for the first round I did I think part of my success came from my timing. I launched right after the new year and everyone was fired up with New Year's resolutions. So when I did my launch I had 60 applications, it was completely overwhelming. My Calendly was stacked.
It's a good problem to have but I was super busy. I run an offline business and have my kids at home, so it was pretty hectic.
I think I had one day where I did nine strategy calls. It was great but stressful so I finally capped my challengers at 20 people and made $4000. In my second round I think I had 12 challengers.
Dan: How did you decide what would be in your program?
Allie: In my first test group we always did a conditioning warm-up to get us ready for exercise at the start of our class. So I had been experimenting with what was accessible and what was realistic to begin a training session with, how many reps can I give clients, and how long the exercise should last for.
There was a little bit of trial and error with that. But ultimately I put exercises in my program that I enjoyed doing and that keep me motivated and excited.
The exercises I chose focused on areas I wanted my experts to be targeting. So a lot of core exercises, arm exercises, & a lot of cardio because that’s something aerialists don’t train a lot of at all.
I also made sure that the exercises were short. My clients wanted quick workouts so I focused on lessons that could be done quickly.
