It’s the first day of November, so let’s do a recap of all the things we released in October.

Here are all the changes:

  • A redesigned Profile tab
  • A new Notification History page to your Profile tab
  • The ability to tag people within community channels
  • The ability to tag the entire channel
  • An improved “Rename tabs” feature
  • Beta testing for community push notifications has started

To see these changes, it's important to note that your app needs to be up-to-date. You can check whether your app is up-to-date by going to your Passion Dashboard > Sales Channels > Apple App Store setup (for your iOS app) or Google Play Store (for your Android App).

If the version number you see is anything lower than 3.5, you need to click on the ‘Submit for review’ button, and then follow the steps explained here for Apple App Store setup and for Google Play Store.

The new design of your app’s Profile tab

We added a “Notifications History” page

Both your web & mobile app have a notifications history page. To see it, open your Profile tab and tap the bell icon in the top right corner of the screen.

Here, you and your users will be able to see when:

  • You get a message
  • You get a reply to your comment
  • You get tagged in a community channel

You can now tag people in community channels

Go to a channel and tap the “@” icon or simply type it from your keyboard. You’ll get a list of your channel members and you’ll be able to choose the one(s) you want to tag.

All your tags are available on the Notifications History page.

Tag @channel to notify all channel members

Tag the entire channel by typing @channel. This way, all channel members will get the notification in their Notifications History page.

More updates

  • We improved the “Rename tab” feature. Now, when you rename a tab in your dashboard, the name will be consistent in your app too.
  • We removed the Payments tab to focus all our capacities on delivering highly-requested big features in the following period that will bring a lot of value to your businesses. In the meantime, the quickest and most accurate way for you to get payment data is to log into the platforms you use to collect payments. Please visit your payment provider to access the data (Google, Apple, and Stripe).

Community push notifications beta testing

We have started Community Push Notifications beta testing. A small group that consists of some of our Ultimate PLUS members are currently testing the feature and giving us feedback to improve it. Our product team is fully focused on delivering this feature, and we have plans to roll it out to everyone in the future.
